Invest in Arts & Culture
I have worked for the DSBN since 2015 as an elementary teacher. I’m thrilled to not only live in Thorold, but teach here as well.
I want to bring my expertise in arts, culture, and grant-writing to the City of Thorold, and bring back our sense of community
With my background in Music, I have been involved in many arts & cultural projects in Niagara. I am a past Artistic Director for the NSO Summer Music Camp and have written two Study Guides for NSO education programs.
As well, I have served as an adjudicator for the Niagara Investment in Culture Grants. I have such a passion for involving our community in the arts; we can learn so much about one another by engaging in one anothers’ festivals, activities, and music.
Vision
-Encourage the community to participate in an audit of recreation services and arts features and explore new ideas that attract others to our parks and community spaces.

-Explore and analyze the current usage of city facilities, space and parks for artistic activities and events. Collaborate with community organizations and private sectors to share space and promote events.

-Upgrades and improvements to our community features that provide assess to all, including accessibility. Port Robinson gazebo, Allanburg Community Centre, Canal Mural and Sullivan Park are a few examples.

-Identify opportunities for cultural space development and explore mechanisms within city policies to facilitate such development
